| Power Factor Technology Overview |
Our power factor controls dynamically monitor and minimize the reactive and apparent power currents in the monitored installation and so maximize current capacity utilization as well as minimize overall conduction losses.
They are particularly suitable for very fast compensation of frequently started, low-duty or variable loads such as:
- Lifts,
- Conveyors,
- Pumps,
- Fans and
- Office lighting.
Our power factor expertise is offered in the form of the PFC1 Fast Power Factor Controller, the RCCS1 and RCCS3 Reactive Current Controlled Switches, the RCCx Reactive Current Control and the PFCDxx Power Factor Current Detector.

The PFC1 Fast Power Factor Controller detects the load phase angle and drives its three-step output to switch in and out of the line compensating capacitor banks with response times in the range of 1 to 15 seconds. |
